Meet Amy Eytchison, Our Senior Varsity Speech Coach
Our SV Speech Coach for experienced students is Amy Eytchison, mother of Ambassador Club alumna Aubrey Eytchison, a 2025 summa cum laude graduate of Union University, who will be assisting Amy in coaching for our Camp. Those students not from Ambassador Club who do not know Amy & Aubrey yet will be blessed by their encouraging, supportive, disciplined, & exuberant personalities.
Ambassador Club still celebrates Amy's daughter, Ambassador Club alum, Aubrey, who along with her Ambassador Club partner placed 1st in Duo Interp & 6th in Parliamentary Debate at Stoa’s May 2021 NITOC at Union. Aubrey concluded her senior year nationally ranked #1 in Humorous Interp, #2 in Dramatic Interp, & #1 in Duo Interp on Speechranks. Aubrey also excelled in every other speech & debate event in which she competed, earning the Founders' Award her senior year. Amy supported & coached both Aubrey & her Duo partner as they prepared for NITOC in tandem with the excellent coaching they received in Ambassador Club. Along with coaching the Ambassadors for Christ speech competitors this year, including eight who qualified for & competed at nationals, Amy & Aubrey helped coach the Duo Interp team from another club that placed 2nd at NITOC 2025.
A 2nd year Ambassador Club Speech Coach, Amy is a strong Christian woman, a wife to her great husband, Brian, & veteran homeschool mom of four. She has been involved with Ambassador Club & Stoa speech & debate since 2017, continuing to support this activity following Aubrey’s graduation, especially by judging at every local tournament. Perhaps she has judged you at an Ambassador Tournament & you still have a ballot with lots of written comments from her!
A freelance story consultant & editor, Amy has taught acting, storytelling, public speaking, creative writing, literature, history, grammar & other classes at local Christian homeschool tutorials.
Amy has personally witnessed how stepping up to the challenge of public speaking & acting in dramatic productions greatly benefited both herself & her children. She is passionate about helping others grow in courage, confidence, & valuable communication skills, knowing these are key for every area of life.
We're thankful to have Amy as our SV Speech Coach, as she is very knowledgeable about the dynamics of a great speech. We are confident all our Senior Varsity Speech students will benefit greatly from her excellent coaching in our Camp, building on her past training with added & excellent assistance from her daughter, Aubrey.
